At Doo Group, we believe that a strong company culture is built on unity, collaboration and, of course, having fun together. Riding the wave of Olympic fever, our DOOers in Malaysia organized DOOLYMPICS Sports Day 2024 on 20 & 28 September 2024 – a two-day event filled with sports and thrilling games. Much like the Olympics, the event was designed to foster camaraderie and teamwork, bringing out the best in our DOOers.
Embracing the Olympic spirit, participants were divided into four dynamic teams – Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red. Each team brought its unique energy and passion to the competition, creating a lively atmosphere for this friendly rivalry.
Day 1: Getting in Gear with Lighthearted Games
Day 1 of DOOLYMPICS, held on 20 September 2024, served as a warm-up for the more intense challenges to come. The event kicked off with a series of lighthearted games, including ring toss, pitch pot, beer pong, and cup stacking. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat, allowing DOOers to ease into the spirit of competition. While the games were playful, teams took the opportunity to build early momentum and showcase their team pride. This day laid the foundation for the excitement to follow, with everyone engaging in a lighthearted rivalry.
Day 2: Turning Up the Heat with Competitive Challenges
Following a successful Day 1, the excitement carried over to the second day of DOOLYMPICS on 28 September 2024, with a more intense round of games where competitive energy reached its peak. Teams faced off in challenging events including basketball, egg-and-spoon race, three-legged race, penalty shootout, sack race, and short relay race, all of which demanded not only physical skill but also teamwork and strategy. The air was charged with excitement as DOOers navigated the high-paced competitions, pushing their limits to secure victories for their teams.
Celebrating Unity and Fun
As the event came to a close, all teams gathered for the final celebration, where the winners were announced, and prizes were awarded. More than just a competition, DOOLYMPICS Sports Day 2024 embodied the true Olympic spirit – celebrating teamwork, perseverance, and unity, which are at the heart of Doo Group’s company culture.
