Job Description:

• Monitor data synchronization between different databases and systems.
• Monitor the data storage utilization of databases and observe the overall performance of the systems linking to the respective databases.
• Prepare forecast of volume of future users and transactions of different systems together with Data Analyst members to review the enhancements needed for databases.
• Research and suggest suitable databases to cater to business needs aligned with the company growth rate.
• Managing metadata and data dictionaries. Cataloging data assets, mapping data flows, and documenting data definitions and relationships.
• Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders. Translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring alignment.
• Optimizing data accessibility while maintaining security and privacy. Managing user permissions and access controls in different in-house systems and databases.
• Involve in database restructuring or enhancement projects, if needed.
• Staying up-to-date with advancements in data management, analytics, privacy, and governance. Continuously improving data operations and governance practices.

Requirements:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or equivalent.
• At least 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Additional certifications in data management, governance, or analytics may be preferred.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations like General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and industry standards. Experience setting up and optimizing data security and access control mechanisms is preferred
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL framework Additional Information.
• Knowledge of Python and databases (e.g. SQL, MongoDB, OceanBase, Elastic Search etc.)
• Proficiency in data profiling, cleansing, and quality checks. Hands-on experience with data auditing and governance.
• Familiarity with data management concepts like master data management, metadata management, data warehousing, and big data architectures.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Proficient in writing and speaking English.
